Position Summary:

At Nusano, we are working to supply the fight against cancer by making rare and undersupplied medical radioisotopes available and abundant. This is empowering researchers, drugmakers and health professionals to create a world with less cancer and more treatment options.

Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Material & Receiving Specialist oversees material management activities. As the primary contact for the warehouse, you handle materials worth tens of millions in particle accelerator systems, R&D equipment, capital projects, departmental items, and chemical products.

What You'll Do:

• Stage materials for work orders for maintenance, repair operations, planned, unplanned, and forced outage backlog work orders.
• Oversee the daily operations of 1 warehouse location in Salt Lake City, UT.
• Ensure compliance with Nusano’s product handling and storage requirements using warehouse operations systems.
• Contribute to and enforce warehouse safety policies.
• Communicate regularly with the procurement team regarding the efficient flow of goods and materials.
• Collaborate with procurement/quality departments to set up inventory, conduct receipt inspections, handle special quality inspections, facilitate facility-to-facility transfers, and implement warehouse operation plans.
• Attend procurement team meetings to update the status of receipts, location transfers, and other relevant details.
• Address warehouse-related issues and escalate as necessary.
• Organize and file documentation found at receipt inspections, such as safety documentation, maintenance manuals, and drawings.
• Perform warehouse actions including receipt/quality inspections, delivering materials to the correct owners, conducting inventory cycle counts, organizing materials, managing bin locations, and preparing outgoing shipments.
• Assist nearby warehouses during busy periods.
• Execute corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) for material overages, shortages, defects, or discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain warehouse metrics to track efficiency and productivity.
• Train new warehouse staff and ensure ongoing education for all team members.
• Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize accuracy.
• Perform routine asset management tracking.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must be located around SLC, Utah.
• Ability to travel 1-3 times a year to companywide meetings or projects.
• 3-6 years of experience in a warehouse role.
• Strong understanding of how the whole supply chain works and what role warehousing plays in that.
• Strong process improvement and safety-first mindset.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to plan and prioritize work.
• Great interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced and fast-growing team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
• Experience using ERP systems, such as SAP, Epicor, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics, is a plus.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a supply chain-related field preferred.
• Skills with performing site-specific warehouse reporting and analytics are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
• The ability to climb ladders while carrying items.
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly as needed.
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds. Ex. Forklift noise or other personal.
