Position Summary:

 

Nusano has an exciting opportunity for an RF Systems Manager. This position will work with the Project Management team in providing support within the Radio Frequency (RF) Group for development of a 50MeV LINAC, advanced High Energy Beam Transport System, targetry, radiochemistry, and production facility. This includes the development and implementation of an engineering communication plan, change control process, and assistance in coordinating the installation and commissioning of the system in Utah. This leadership role will aid the Project Management team in rolling out tools for the technical teams to use, communicating project direction and priorities, and aiding the technical teams in the implementation. The RF Systems Manager will work closely with the Facilities and Technical teams to promote the development, installation, and commissioning of an integrated system. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Research and Development and works closely with the Project Management Team and the RF Group.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Provide integration support to project teams primarily for requirements tracking, change control, work planning, and process improvements
    • Ensure change control for technical and project documentation and procedures
    • Communicate impacts to consumables and internal customers and coordinate with IPTs on solutions as needed
    • Coordinate product integration teams in the planning for installation and commissioning of the integrated system in Utah
    • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
    • Aid product integration teams in monitoring the testing and verification status of project requirements
    • Act as work coordinator for large system installations
    • Facilitate product integration team work package planning sessions
    • Monitor and report on product integration performance and forecasts
    • Support coordination with external vendors on the manufacture and sourcing of components
    • Produce and distribute project memos as required
  • Engage with program and project management teams in support of planning and executing an integrated management approach
    • Assist in developing an integrated engineering communications plan
    • Interact daily with engineering and scientific staff
    • Coordinate with program integration team to identify and manage dependencies across the project
    • Lead product teams in schedule development, rolling wave planning, and hybrid Agile project management integration
    • Assist in developing project plan, project scope, project communication, work authorization, document control, stakeholder management, quality, safety, and procurement related
    • program integration processes
    • Identify technical project risks, issues, and opportunities and coordinate with the project and technical teams to generate and manage risk mitigation plans

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related field
  • Related professional work experience (5+ years)
  • Experience in a lab or technical environment (5+ years)
  • Experience with highly technical engineering and scientific projects
  • Experience with MS product suite
  • Experience with Google enterprise suite

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or 10+ years’ experience
  • Working with particle accelerator components and projects
  • PMP, Agile, or other project management certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable working in a facility that produces radiation (fully monitored).
  • Work to be conducted in both an office environment and the production facility.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Frequent use of computer with repetitive use of keyboard, mouse, and manual dexterity.
  • On site support in Salt Lake City for installation and commissioning
  • Up to 10% Travel
