Position Summary:

 

Join the innovative analytical chemistry team at Nusano, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and play a pivotal role in advancing the production of new medical radioisotopes for cancer diagnosis and treatment. As an Associate Analytical Chemist, you will leverage your expertise to harness Nusano's cutting-edge accelerator technology, revolutionizing the field of medical isotopes.

 

You will be part of a dynamic team and directly contribute to Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) development, new product commercialization, and lifecycle management of analytical methods.

 

The ideal candidate will have a background in analytical instrumentation and techniques.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Support the development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods for new product development.
  • Conduct routine assessment of samples and communicate results effectively to a diverse community of stakeholders.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) and analytical test methods (ATMs).
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documents, and presentations.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation.
  • Maintain research and development (R&D) labs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in chemistry or related field.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience and an understanding of cGMP, FDA, EMA, USP, NRC, and ICH guidelines.
  • Experience with radioanalytical instruments and techniques (such as alpha and gamma spectroscopy, liquid scintillation counting, radio-TLC, and radio-HPLC).
  • Experience with the following instrumentation and techniques: ICP, GC, LC, UV-Vis, FTIR.
  • Chemical and radiological laboratory safety (regulatory and best practices).
  • Work in facilities compliant with ICH Q7, 21 CFR 211 and/or 21 CFR 212.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable working as a radiation worker.
  • Work to be conducted in both an office environment, laboratories, and production environment.
  • Ability to work sitting and standing for extended periods, grasping/gripping, fine motor control with hands.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a maximum of 30 lbs.
